About Catholic Charities

Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Toronto provides social services, leadership and advocacy for its member agencies and the people they serve. At its core is Catholic Social Teaching, which focuses on the poor and marginalized, and urges all of us to build a just society and safeguard human dignity.

Member Agencies

Catholic Charities Member Agencies provide services and outreach through programs that meet current and emerging needs in the community.

Catholic Charities’ Policy Is To Consider For Membership Agencies That Meet The Following Criteria:

  • Organized under the governance of a voluntary Board of Directors

  • Provide effective direct social, health, community or related services to meet an identified need in a specific geographic area of the Archdiocese

  • Ensure service provided is consistent with the pastoral, moral and social teachings of the Catholic Church; and financially viable
